Born in Perth, Western Australia, David spent his youth growing up in the South West town of Australind. He has always had a passion for photography, with a particular interest in Australian landscapes, with the rugged outback and native bush scenes a personal favourite.

David studied and graduated as a computer systems engineer and spent the beginning of his professional career working and travelling throughout the world as an engineer, whilst continuing to pursue his passion for photography. Around the start of the 21st centuary a natural convergance of these two discplines began to occur and David's professional work began to have more emphasis on photo/video content and media technologies. Today, as well as constantly striving to expand his photographic portfolio, David operates his own consulting company (IDSDI) which provides a diverse range of services across the Engineering, Information Technology, Video Production and Photographic sectors.

This site is dedicated to the photographic work produced by David and is driven by his desire to be able to share the natural (and other) beauty that he has been privileged to witness.

David holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems), is an emerging member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIMM).
